Entrepreneurship has always been at the heart of who I am. My journey began at 13, when I started producing and distributing popcorn coated with dry milk and sugar glaze, then proceeded to open a beauty shop By 20, I was running a beauty shop while simultaneously working as a travel specialist, designing bespoke travel packages for European adventurers. At 21, an incredible opportunity took me to the United States after being selected by the UNDP and Women’s World Banking to participate in a prestigious leadership program in Manhattan. By 22 I was navigating the challenges of pursuing an expensive college education in the US with limited English. Determined to succeed, I launched a braiding business and taught French at a private school, funding my Bachelor’s degree in Economics through sheer grit and resourcefulness.
In 2010, after my son was born while pursuing my Master’s degree in Managerial Economics, I officially registered my first business, all while balancing work as an MIS Reporting Specialist. But life’s unexpected challenges derailed my entrepreneurial path for over a decade. Even so, I found myself drawn back to the essence of entrepreneurship—whether through starting a YouTube channel or setting up an online Poshmark store. Yet, I struggled to fully reclaim the self-belief that had been worn down over the years.
Today, I’m back, stronger and more prepared than ever. With renewed skills, greater confidence, and an unwavering faith, I’m channeling my blessings into building BarakaBelle—a brand dedicated to empowering others. My mission is to provide solutions and products that elevate the professional lifestyles and entrepreneurial journeys of women like me, who balance ambition with faith and resilience. BarakaBelle isn’t just a business; it’s a reflection of the journey that brought me here and the values I hold dear
